Mahadev Madhav Nidhi Charitable Trust, is a registered charity that was established over 20 years ago by Mr Sunil Kumar Singh. It was set up in order to tackle the problems of poverty in Mumbai, especially amongst young children. From its humble origins as a family institution it has grown rapidly, and now its projects cover a wide range of activities located in both India and other developing countries, including Afghanistan, Sudan, Kenya and Burundi.

Mahadev Madhav Nidhi Charitable Trust is committed to the welfare of people from the most underprivileged strata of society without distinction of caste, creed or color. Its emphasis is on assisting the children and youth who are the citizens of tomorrow and the disabled who need a support to help them join mainstream society.

Sunil Kumar Singh, one of the most well known and respected international Rotarians of his generation, was born in Antwerp, Belgium. Over two decades ago he initiated the Mahadev Madhav Nidhi Charitable Trust with financial resources from his own family and friends.Since then he has been a worldwide force to help children across the globe in a multitude of ways. In just India, Sunil Kumar Singh is credited for helping over 2 million children through an assortment of educational, medical, developmental and various other initiatives. However, India is not the only part of the world that has benefited from Sunil Kumar Singh�s philanthropy. He has helped tens of thousands of children in Kenya, Afghanistan, Burundi, Honduras, Dominican Republic.

Sunil Kumar Singh embraces the character qualities of generosity, compassion, and spirit. His commitment to children through a multiplicity of outreach projects that seek to touch children who are the �poorest of the poor�, are a testament to him as an individual. Shri Singh does not limit his contribution solely to his community, but gives of himself globally. He continues to motivate, inspire, and bring people, groups and like-minded humanitarians together to perpetuate an ingrained philosophy of philanthropy. Sunil Kumar Singh works diligently on his present projects, but also continues to put new altruistic initiatives in motion everyday. At the age of over 37 years, he perseveres; he continues to create new dreams and new ways to make a difference. Selflessly he gives and inspires others to remember those who go without. Sunil Kumar Singh�s life mission is to transform the lives of children, helping them to reach their full potential even if they come from the streets and the worst possible economic conditions imaginable. From helping children during times of crisis to facilitating medical assistance, Sunil Kumar Singh gives children throughout the world something we all need .
